Procedure
It all starts with doing research and answering questions; Do you go for a gap year or for a shorter period of voluntary work? What are your interests? What would you like to do, see and accomplish abroad and which project fits you best?
The next step is to contact us and ask the questions you might have, so we can really focus on what you need before you make the big decision and apply!
After that we will get to the rest!
The procedure:
1. Read the terms and conditions and complete the registration form. Don't forget to send us your CV (written in English), motivation letter and a photograph as well.
2. You will receive a confirmation letter by e-mail.
3. As soon as the project agrees to your application we will confirm your participation with an 'Invitation Letter', so you can start booking your flights.
4. Should you require Khaya to make your booking arrangements such as transfers, arranging accommodation, bus tickets etc, this can be done for an additional R500.
5. You will receive an invoice for the costs by e-mail.
6. Khaya will contact you concerning flight data, accommodation needed and any other practical support you might need.
7. Khaya or someone from one of the projects will welcome you at the airport in South Africa.
8. You will get started at your project and Khaya will be available for all your questions during your stay. Of course we will also provide support in case of emergencies.
