Procedures

1. Read the terms and conditions and complete the registration form. Don’t forget to send through your CV (written in English), motivation letter and a photograph as well.
2. You will receive a confirmation letter by e-mail.
3. You will receive information in order for you to prepare your volunteer work and the placement.
4. Your application will be processed as soon as Khaya has received your registration.
5. As soon as the project or projects have replied with a positive response we can confirm your volunteer placement with an invitation letter of the project.
6. After you’ve received the invitation letter, you can book your flight and make further preparations for your trip to South Africa.
7. Should you require Khaya to make your booking arrangements such as transfers, arranging accommodation, bus tickets etc, this can be done for an additional R500.
8. You will receive an invoice for the costs and initial down payment by e-mail.
9. You will pay at least 20% of the full amount due as a deposit to confirm your placement.
10. Khaya will contact you concerning arrival dates, any needs for local transportation, car rental or any other questions you might have.
11. One of our Khaya staff or a staff member of the project you are going to will welcome you at the airport in South Africa.
12. Both you and Khaya have to ensure that you will have a memorable period in South Africa with enough possibilities for leisure and entertainment during your stay in this beautiful country.
